LPN – Inpatient Rehabilitation

We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for an inpatient rehabilitation setting. This role is vital in providing quality care to patients who require rehabilitative services.

Position Overview

• Role: LPN
• Shift: 12-hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
• Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend and holiday rotations
• Call Requirements: Yes

Patient Population

The patient population includes adults requiring inpatient rehabilitation services, often presenting with high acuity needs following strokes, brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, amputations, complex orthopedic injuries, and other conditions necessitating rehabilitation.

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 49
• Patient Ratios: 1:7
• Equipment: Mobility equipment (ceiling lifts, Sara Stedy, Sara Plus), slide boards, vital machines, EKG machines, BGM, and computers for charting.
• EHR: EPIC

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in skilled nursing or a 24/7 skilled care environment.
• Inpatient rehabilitation or Med-Surg experience is required; preference given to those with relevant experience related to patient acuity.
• Must have a minimum of 13 weeks of EPIC experience.
• Required Certifications: BLS.

Additional Information

• Attendance Policy: Adherence to internal attendance and tardiness policy is required.
• Break Policy: Mandatory 30-minute break, with two 15-minute paid breaks for a 12-hour shift.
• Nurses are encouraged to assist C.N.As and respond to call lights to ensure patient safety.
