Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery

The Registered Nurse (RN) in Labor & Delivery is responsible for providing comprehensive care throughout the antepartum, intrapartum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal phases of obstetrical care. This role involves utilizing the Nursing Process in alignment with the state Nurse Practice Act as well as hospital policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate and attentive care to Labor and Delivery patients.
• Demonstrate critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in planning and implementing safe delivery of care.
• Maintain clinical competency through ongoing education and professional development.
• Delegate patient care priorities based on the experience and education of the assigned healthcare team.
• Provide direction and supervision to personnel delivering patient care.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of nursing experience in Labor and Delivery.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, NRP, STABLE, and Fetal Monitoring.
• Strong ability to work in a fast-paced and emotionally charged environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
