Registered Nurse – Wound Care

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering comprehensive care to patients with wounds and ostomies. This role entails applying the Nursing Process in line with state regulations and organizational policies. The nurse will demonstrate critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership to ensure the safe and effective delivery of care while maintaining clinical competencies through ongoing education.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide care to patients requiring wound and ostomy care.
• Utilize the Nursing Process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Anticipate and plan for safe delivery of care.
• Delegate patient care priorities effectively based on staff education and experience.
• Provide direction and supervision to assigned personnel delivering patient care.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of recent nursing experience in wound care within a hospital setting.
• CWOCN certification required.
• BLS certification required, must be through the American Heart Association.
• Active RN license in California.

Schedule

This position primarily operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
