Acute Travel Registered Nurse (RN): M/S TELE

We are seeking a dedicated Acute Travel Registered Nurse (RN) specialized in Medical-Surgical Telemetry to join our healthcare team in providing high-quality care to patients. This position operates in a dynamic environment that supports various patient needs and care across all age groups.

Position Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional nursing care in the Medical Surgical Combination unit. The role requires collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team, ensuring patient safety and clinical excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients on the Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit.
• Monitor and manage patient conditions, including telemetry readings and vital signs.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Perform IV insertions and other necessary procedures.
• Document patient care activities and maintain accurate health records.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.
• Assist with patient education and support throughout their treatment.
• Float to similar medical-surgical units as needed.

Qualifications

• Current nursing licensure in the state of Tennessee as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in Medical-Surgical and Telemetry nursing.
• Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Unit Information

• Trauma Level: III
• Patient Population: Serves all ages.
• Equipment Used: Omnicell for medication dispensing.
• EHR System: Meditech.

• Scrub Color: Any.
