LPN

Position Information

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our inpatient rehabilitation team. This position involves providing high-quality nursing care in a dynamic environment with a focus on rehabilitation.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate care to adults requiring inpatient rehabilitation services.
• Assist patients with daily activities to ensure their comfort and safety.
• Monitor patient vital signs and report changes to the healthcare team.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with rehabilitation staff and contribute to patient care plans.
• Support Certified Nursing Assistants (C.N.As) as needed and respond to call lights promptly.

Shift Requirements

• Full-time position with 12-hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM.
• Every other weekend and holiday duty is required.
• Mandatory call requirements may be applicable.

Qualifications

• Current LPN license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in a skilled nursing environment is preferred.
• Experience in med-surg or inpatient rehabilitation is advantageous.
• Must be willing to float to a nearby facility as needed.

Unit Information

• 49 bed facility with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:7.
• Utilizes various mobility equipment, including ceiling lifts and essential monitoring devices.
• Electronic health record system used: EPIC.

Additional Notes

All staff members are expected to adhere to attendance policies and scheduling requirements. A 30-minute break is mandatory for every shift, along with two paid 15-minute breaks. Clocking out for meal breaks is required, and staff must not remain past their shiftend time without supervisor approval.
