Critical Care Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Critical Care Registered Nurse (RN) to provide exceptional patient care in a Stepdown ICU setting. The role requires expertise in handling critical care needs, with a focus on ensuring positive patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Stepdown ICU on a 24/7 basis.
• Administer care for patients requiring tracheostomy support, ventilation management, and intravenous drips.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care to patients.
• Interpret EKGs and manage patients’ critical care needs effectively.
• Demonstrate proficient communication skills to facilitate teamwork and promote positive outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in critical care nursing.
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and EKG.
• Experience with trachs, vents, and drips is a must.
• Strong ability to manage both medical and tele patients, focusing on adults.

Work Schedule

• Night shift availability required (7 PM – 7 AM).
• Full-time commitment with a guaranteed 48 hours per week.
• Weekend shifts as required.
• Orientation will occur on day shifts for the first week.

Patient Care Environment

This unit provides care in a typical patient ratio of 4-6 patients per nurse. The nursing team is equipped with standard nursing equipment and utilizes the EPIC electronic medical record system for efficient patient data management.
