Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic environment. The successful candidate will join a team focused on delivering exceptional care to patients in emergency situations.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in the emergency room setting.
• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients experiencing medical emergencies.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Utilize critical decision-making skills to prioritize patient needs in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with hospital protocols.
• Participate in ongoing education and training programs.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Room setting.
• Previous Medsurg experience is required.
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and TNCC.
• PALS certification is preferred.

Additional Information

• Position is full-time with guaranteed hours of 48 hours per week.
• The shift schedule includes a rotating day/night schedule (7a-7p, 7p-7a).
• Every other weekend and holiday shifts are required.
• RNs will be required to read cardiac strips.
• Float to Medsurg and Swing Bed may be required.
• Navy blue scrubs are required as part of the dress code.
• Orientation will include 12 hours of unit-specific training.
