Registered Nurse (RN) – Family Birthing Center

Job Description

Join our team in a picturesque location and provide exceptional care to patients in the Family Birthing Center. This role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care for laboring women and neonates, ensuring a safe and supportive environment during and after delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently assess health status of laboring patients and newborns using objective and subjective data.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to create realistic and measurable care plans.
• Provide direct patient care during labor, delivery, and postpartum phases.
• Educate patients and families on wellness, infant care, and breastfeeding.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and events in medical records.
• Communicate effectively with the healthcare team regarding patient conditions.
• Assist physicians with procedures and support nursing staff in emergencies across units.
• Ensure a clean and safe environment for all patients.
• Participate in ongoing staff education and training on new procedures and equipment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of nursing experience in a related field.
• Active, current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Colorado.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications required.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program.

Physical Requirements

The position requires the ability to perform various physical activities, including but not limited to:

• Using hands to handle objects and communicate effectively.
• Standing, walking, and reaching in order to provide patient care.
• Lifting and moving patients or equipment frequently.
• Utilizing close vision for reading and monitoring patients.

This role requires a commitment to patient advocacy and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. The environment may require flexibility in working hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
