Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our surgical team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care throughout the surgical process, from pre-operative preparation to post-operative recovery. As part of our team, you will work alongside surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technicians to ensure a safe and efficient operating room environment.

Shift Details

• 8-hour afternoon shifts
• 40 hours per week
• Weekend and holiday work may be required
• On-call responsibilities to be determined

Key Responsibilities

• Provide quality patient care in the operating room setting
• Assist with surgical procedures in both circulating and scrub roles
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and infection control standards
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond to changes in patient conditions
• Collaborate with surgical team members to provide optimal patient outcomes

Qualifications

• 2 years of current Operating Room RN experience required
• Experience with both scrub and circulate roles is necessary
• CERTIFICATION IN Operating Room (CNOR) preferred
• Experience with Meditech Expanse software highly preferred
• Candidates must have their own vehicle for transportation

Licensure and Certification Requirements

• Valid Massachusetts RN license required
• Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required

Orientation and Scheduling

• 8 hours of non-billable orientation may be required
• Requests for time off must be noted upon submission; limited to no more than 5 days
• Candidates must be available to work during specific holiday periods
