MRI Technologist

As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for producing high-quality images for medical diagnosis by operating magnetic resonance equipment. This role involves performing procedures, calibrating equipment, and coordinating patient care in collaboration with other medical staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform MRI diagnostic procedures following established protocols and physician orders.
• Utilize equipment to generate 3D images of patient tissues, ensuring quality imaging for diagnostic purposes.
• Summarize, document, and present images and findings accurately to physicians for diagnosis.
• Prepare and administer contrast media while monitoring patient reactions.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as safety standards.
• Provide pertinent patient information and instructions to prepare them for procedures.
• Perform additional job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Certificate or diploma from MRI school or an Associate’s degree in Radiology required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in radiologic technology or an equivalent field is preferred.
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiology (ARRT-R) or Magnetic Resonance (ARRT-MR) or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) required.
• State Radiologic Technologist (RT) certification is preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor is required.

Experience:

• At least two years of recent experience in the field is preferred.

Work Schedule:

This position is part-time (24 hours) with variable shift options. Specific hours include:

• Wednesday: 12 PM – 11 PM
• Thursday: 12 PM – 11 PM
• Participation in on-call rotation during weekday nights and weekends as desired.
