Physical Therapist

Position Overview

The Physical Therapist is responsible for performing objective assessments and developing comprehensive individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients. This role includes direct patient supervision, as well as indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians and general supervision of Physical Therapy assistants in accordance with State Practice Acts.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct initial assessments and develop individualized plans of care based on physician referrals and departmental policies.
• Provide direct supervision to patients and indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians.
• Ensure compliance with departmental policies and the standards of care.
• Work effectively with a diverse patient population, including both adult and geriatric patients.
• Float to outpatient and inpatient settings as required, including working one weekend per month on Saturdays at the inpatient unit.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid and active Physical Therapy license in good standing.
• A minimum of one year of outpatient experience is required.
• Additional certifications relevant to outpatient therapy are advantageous.

Work Schedule

• Shift: Days, 5 days a week (5×8 hours).
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36.
• Weekend Hours: Availability required for one weekend per month.

Dress Code

• Scrub Color: Black scrubs are required.
• Unacceptable attire will be defined by the facility standards.
