Position Information

This role is focused on providing nursing care in a Medical/Surgical unit. The position requires the ability to work effectively within a team, ensuring high-quality patient care and adherence to healthcare standards.

• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Weekend Hours: Rotation every other weekend
• Call Requirements: Yes, based on census
• Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS
• Years of Experience: 1-2+
• Float Requirements: Yes, with potential to float to medical detox, ICU, OB, or ER

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 19
• Patient Ratios: 1:5
• Equipment: Welch Allyn vital machines, masimno at bedside, careview, telemetry, sara stedy, ARJO lift
• EHR: Medhost

Patient Population

The unit primarily serves geriatric and adult patients, with a minimal number of pediatric cases occurring annually.

Hiring Profile

• Must Have Skills/Experience: Experience in Med/Surg nursing
• Required Education: Certification/Licensure required to work as an RN in Tennessee
• Dress Code: Scrubs of any color; print scrubs are not acceptable

Additional Notes

The unit is supported by a unit secretary/monitor tech stationed at the Med/Surg nurses’ station, ensuring efficient operation and communication within the team.
