Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking experienced nurses to join our team. Candidates must possess current NIH Stroke Scale certification, a valid Wisconsin nursing license, and CPR/BLS certification. Education verification is required.

Job Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process while collaborating with interdisciplinary team members to provide patient care.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to established nursing techniques, policies, procedures, and standards of care.
• Document patient care activities according to standards.
• Develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient care plans in collaboration with physicians and in accordance with hospital policies, including patient and family education.
• Participate in departmental or unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance.
• Provide clinical expertise and guidance to support patient care plans across various units/departments.
• Exercise critical thinking regarding patient safety and experience, and escalate concerns through the appropriate chain of command.

Work Schedule

This position requires working every other weekend and holiday, with responsibilities on night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM. Flexibility to float to other units may be necessary.

Qualifications

• Current NIHSS certification.
• Valid Wisconsin Nursing License.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Experience in an Adult Surgical Unit is preferred; some pediatric patient bed care may be involved.
