Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Room (ER)

Shift Details

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Room team for a night shift position. The shift will be 12 hours, from 19:00 to 07:30, with the possibility of accepting either 36 or 48-hour work weeks. Weekend coverage will be required every other weekend.

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a fast-paced emergency department setting.
• Perform triage and prioritize patient needs effectively.
• Utilize the Accudose and Omnicell medication systems for medication administration.
• Document patient information and care provided using the Cerner documentation system.
• Communicate effectively with the healthcare team using SBAR (Situation, Background, Assessment, Recommendation) format.

Qualifications

• Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, CPI, PALS, and TNCC.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency department setting.
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
• Previous charge nurse experience is preferred.

Patient Care Focus

The registered nurse will care for a diverse patient demographic, including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. The emergency room serves a variety of patient diagnoses, particularly within an inner-city population.

Uniform Requirements

Scrubs must be dark blue.
