Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in emergency nursing and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Shift Details

• Type: Nights
• Length: 12-hour shifts
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Every third weekend required

Job Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to patients in the Emergency Room, including boarding patients when necessary.
• Float to Medical Surgical (MS) and Critical Care Unit (CCU) as needed, fulfilling the role of an ER RN.
• Collaborate with medical staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Perform assessments and manage patient care effectively in a high-volume setting.
• Complete required orientation shifts in ER, MS, and CCU.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of recent experience in an Emergency Room setting.
• Preferred experience in Critical Care Unit (CCU) and Medical/Surgical (MS) units.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS Certification, NIHSS, PALS (TNCC and ENPC preferred).
• Experience with Cerner EMR system required.
• Ability to start IVs and administer medications.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing workloads and patient needs.
• Strong skills in crowd management and patient triaging within the ER.

Work Environment

• Emergency Room equipped with 26 beds and 3 trauma bays.
• Daily patient volume averaging 60 patients.
• Staff ratios of 1 to 4.
• In-house security and support staff available 24/7.
