Acute Physical Therapist

Job Overview

We are seeking a qualified Acute Physical Therapist with experience in an acute care setting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing physical therapy services to patients in both inpatient and outpatient environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments of patients’ functional movements.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure effective patient care.
• Document patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary.
• Educate patients and their families on treatment goals and strategies for recovery.
• Utilize Epic software for patient documentation and management.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Virginia; temporary licenses accepted if a valid license is held in another state.
• Demonstrated experience in an acute care setting is required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Commitment to providing high-quality patient care.

Work Schedule

This position will be scheduled for day shifts, Monday through Friday, with eight-hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
