Registered Nurse (RN) – Acute Care Float Pool

Job Description

We are seeking experienced and dedicated Registered Nurses to join the Acute Care Float Pool. This dynamic role requires the ability to provide high-quality patient care across various units, including medical, surgical, medical telemetry, surgical telemetry, infusion, orthopedics, and neurosurgery.

Position Details

• Start Date: ASAP
• Patient Ratios: 1:5
• Years of Experience Required: Minimum 2 years
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Certifications Required: BCLS required; CPI preferred
• Floating within Hospital: Yes, within scope
• Floating to Sister Hospitals: No
• Block Scheduling: Not accommodated unless stated otherwise
• Local Candidates Accepted: Yes
• Pending License Accepted: No
• RTO Restrictions: Maximum of 1 week

Additional Information

This unit is responsible for providing care in various settings, including infusion therapy and post-operative recovery. Nurses will utilize EPIC for charting and must be adaptable to changing patient needs across different departments.

Work Schedule

• Day Shift: 3×12-Hour (07:00 – 19:30)
• Night Shift: 3×12-Hour (19:00 – 07:30)

Guaranteed Hours

In the event of low census, healthcare providers may be called off without charge or placed on-call in 4-hour increments, up to one shift worth of hours in a 2-week cycle. For ambulatory or surgical services that are closed on weekends and holidays, scheduling for travelers will not occur during these periods.
