Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our team. This position requires a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working with both adult and pediatric patients, particularly in intensive care settings.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care to patients in accordance with established guidelines and protocols.
• Administer therapies and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor patient responses to therapy and report changes in condition to the medical team.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Perform diagnostic tests and interpret results as necessary.
• Float to various units and adjust to facility needs as required.

Shift Details

This role requires working 3 consecutive night shifts (18:00 – 06:00) with a rotation that includes weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Valid RRT certification with at least 2 years of experience in a clinical setting.
• Experience in both adult and pediatric respiratory care.
• Ability to float between units as necessary to meet patient care needs.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems, specifically Epic.
• Comfortable working in high-acuity environments such as the ICU.

Additional Information

• Weekend availability is required, with shifts scheduled every other weekend.
• Holidays are mandatory with restricted time-off (RTO) allowances.
• Must have 4 days or less of requested time off (RTO) throughout the assignment.
• Returning staff must have been away for at least 1 year to qualify for rehire.
• The contract has a limit of two assignments with a required break of 6 months before re-applying.
