Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) Registered Nurse

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) Registered Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in critical care nursing with a focus on advanced patient management.

Schedule

• 3×12’s / 36 Hours
• Day/Night rotation every 4 weeks or 4 weeks days and 4 weeks nights

Patient Ratios

Estimated patient ratios range from 1:1 to 1:2.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Medical ICU setting.
• EPIC experience is required.

Certifications Required

• BCLS
• ACLS
• NIHSS
• AHA Certifications only

Skills Required

• Proficient in IV starts.
• Experience with telemetry.
• Competent with ventilators.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous travel nursing experience.
• Proficiency in the EPIC documentation system.

Specialized Experience

• Multisystem Organ Failure
• Respiratory Failure
• COVID Care
• Sepsis Management
• Post-Cardiac Arrest Recovery
• Diabetic Ketoacidosis (DKA)
• Liver Failure
• Renal Failure

Special Procedures and Unit Details

• Continuous Glucose Monitoring for Hyperglycemia.
• Externalized IV Pumps for COVID+ patients.

Special Equipment Knowledge

• NxStage CRRT
• Alaris IV Pump
• GE Cardiac Monitor
• GE Ventilator
• Boom Lift in each patient room.
