ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to critically ill patients in a fast-paced environment during the night shift, working 3 twelve-hour shifts per week.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in the ICU setting.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, utilizing advanced assessment skills.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Utilize EPIC software for documentation and care coordination.
• Educate patients and their families regarding health management and recovery.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of documented ICU experience or completion of an approved ICU training course with both didactic and clinical experiences.
• Graduate from an accredited nursing school.
• Basic computer skills, particularly in electronic health records (EPIC experience is required).

Licenses and Certifications

• Current Registered Nurse license in the State of California.
• BLS Certification in accordance with American Heart Association guidelines (no other certifications accepted).
• ACLS Certification required; PALS Certification must be obtained within six months of hire.
• CCRN certification is encouraged.

Schedule

This position requires night shifts, specifically from 1800 to 0630, for a total of 36 hours per week.
