Job Description
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse (RN)
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team. This position involves providing high-quality nursing care to neonates in a fast-paced, critical care environment.
Position Information:
- Role: RN
- Specialty: NICU

- Shift: Nights, 3×12 (1900-0700)
- Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Weekend Hours: As required by facility, every other weekend
- Call Requirements: No call required
Qualifications:
- Required Licensure: Current RN License, eligible for licensure in the state
- Required Certifications: BLS, NRP
- Preferred Certifications: TNCC, PALS
- Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years of NICU experience
- Preferred Experience: 2 years in a NICU level 3 or higher
- Vent Competency: Required
- Float Requirements: May be required to work in NICU, PICU, or Postpartum based on patient volumes
Unit Information:
- Number of Beds: 46
- Patient Ratios: Not guaranteed; typically 1:3 based on acuity
- EMR: EPIC
Job Responsibilities:
As an RN in the NICU, you will:
- Provide direct patient care activities for neonates, ensuring comprehensive assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to enhance patient comfort and outcomes.
- Function within the scope of nursing practice as outlined by the Nurse Practice Act.
- Adhere to established guidelines and standards of practice while upholding the mission and values of the healthcare organization.
