Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department

Job Description

This position is focused on delivering safe and effective patient care in an Emergency Department setting. The Registered Nurse will utilize the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide high-quality care to patients.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care within the scope of practice.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments and document changes in patient condition.
• Guide and mentor other nursing personnel in providing quality care.
• Communicate effectively with physicians regarding changes in patients’ clinical conditions.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.
• Respond promptly and accurately to patients’ changing conditions and treatment responses.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• A minimum of one year of experience as a staff RN in an acute care hospital, with a focus on critical care.
• Critical Care RN (CCRN) certification is preferred.
• Experience with float requirements between Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Telemetry.
• Ability to interpret cardiac strips and titrate medications.
• COVID-19 vaccination and boosters are preferred.
