Registered Nurse (RN) – Nursery

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the nursery is responsible for providing comprehensive care to newborn patients during the immediate neonatal phase, ensuring safe and effective newborn care. This position requires the application of the Nursing Process in alignment with state practice acts and established policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide attentive and compassionate care to newborn patients.
• Utilize critical thinking skills and scientific judgment in delivering high-quality care.
• Demonstrate leadership by anticipating and planning for safe delivery of care.
• Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education and training.
• Delegate patient care priorities based on the education and experience of available staff.
• Provide direction and supervision for assigned personnel in delivering patient care.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a nursery setting.
• Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NRP.
• Ability to practice nursing in Alabama without any NURSYS hits.
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility.

Schedule

This position entails day shifts from 7 AM to 7 PM.
