Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team for night shifts. This role will require versatility as the RN may float between the Emergency Room and Medical-Surgical units, responding to whatever walks through the door. It is essential to communicate clearly with healthcare personnel about the expectations for each shift, as some shifts may involve predominantly Medical-Surgical responsibilities.

Shift Details

• Shift: 6 PM – 6 AM
• No mileage restrictions
• Previous travel experience preferred, but first-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Open to candidates with less than 3 years of experience

Qualifications

• Active Kansas state license or multistate license required
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC (all from AHA)
• Experience with Athena EMR is beneficial

Work Environment

The nursing staff will typically consist of:

• 2 nurses
• 1 nursing assistant (CNA)
• 1 staff secretary on the floor

The nurse-to-patient ratio is usually around 1:3 but can go up to 5:1 at most. The facility does utilize LPNs to support the nursing staff.

Cancellation Policy

• Shift Cancellation Clause: The client may cancel one (1) shift every 30 days during the 13-week assignment. If a shift is canceled, guaranteed hours will not apply for that week.
• Call Off Clause: If a shift is canceled after the healthcare professional has started working, the client will pay for the number of hours worked or a minimum of 2 hours, whichever is greater.
