Polysomnographer / Sleep Tech

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Polysomnographer / Sleep Tech to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will perform a variety of sleep studies and deliver high-quality care to patients in a specialized sleep lab setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct polysomnographic studies according to established protocols.
• Monitor and instruct patients during sleep studies, ensuring comfort and safety.
• Analyze and interpret sleep study data to identify sleep disorders.
• Provide education to patients regarding sleep hygiene and study results.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care.

Shift Information

This position requires a commitment to night shifts, with a schedule of three consecutive 12-hour shifts from 18:30 to 07:00. Flexibility for weekend shifts is also required, as Friday night shifts may extend into Saturday morning.

Qualifications

• Current Oregon Respiratory License or equivalent certification in hand is mandatory.
• Experience in polysomnography preferred.
• Ability to maintain a ratio of 2:1 for patient care during sleep studies.
• Familiarity with Epic electronic medical records is desirable.

Special Requirements

Candidates must be available for block scheduling. The ability to manage workload efficiently is essential.

Additional Information

This is an opportunity to work in a short-term acute care environment that employs a total of 108 staff beds. Scrubs are provided for specific departments including OR, Critical Care, ED, PACU, and Maternal Child, while any color scrubs are acceptable for other roles. Parking is available free of charge for all staff.

Note: Candidates should plan to complete the Oregon State Law & Rules Exam in person. It is essential to submit a completed application before fingerprinting to avoid delays in the licensure process.
