Ultrasound Technologist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Ultrasound Technologist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate must have experience in pediatric imaging, particularly with abdominal cases. This position requires the ability to float between departments as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality ultrasound examinations on pediatric patients, focusing on abdominal cases.
• Utilize advanced imaging techniques and equipment to obtain diagnostic images.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare providers to ensure accurate diagnoses.
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace, ensuring compliance with all safety protocols.
• Document and manage patient records using the EPIC electronic medical record system.

Qualifications

• Registered in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant ultrasound experience.
• Proficiency in scanning pediatric patients.

Work Schedule

This position will primarily require availability on weekends, with shifts scheduled from Saturday to Monday, 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM. Holiday coverage will vary and will be incorporated into the regular schedule.

Additional Information

• No weekend shifts are required.
• No on-call duties required.
• Floor orientation will be provided for one week.
• Staff are required to wear black scrubs.
• Expect to handle between 45-56 cases per day across 4 rooms using 4 ultrasound machines.
