Acute Travel Registered Nurse: NICU
We are seeking a qualified and dedicated Acute Travel Registered Nurse specializing in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) for a dynamic opportunity in Southern Tennessee. This position offers the chance to work in a well-respected healthcare facility that provides comprehensive medical care to the community.
Facilities Overview
The facilities feature:
- Acute and skilled care services with a total of 198 beds.
- A fully accredited medical center with a variety of patient care units, including ICU, Rehabilitation, and Geriatric Psychiatry.
- Modern diagnostic and treatment services, including multiple specialized units for emergency care, surgery, and rehabilitation.
Key Responsibilities
As an Acute Travel Registered Nurse in the NICU, you will be responsible for:
- Providing high-quality nursing care to critically ill newborns.
- Collaborating with a team of healthcare professionals to create and implement patient care plans.
- Monitoring and assessing patient conditions, administering medications, and performing necessary interventions.
- Educating parents about the care of their infants and providing emotional support during challenging times.
- Documenting patient information accurately and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in NICU nursing.
- Current certifications as required for the specialty nursing practice.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Orientation and Scheduling
Orientation for this position occurs weekly on Mondays. The travel nursing role is intended for individuals located 60 miles or greater from the facility, allowing for a rewarding travel experience.
