Sterile Processing Technician (SPT)

Schedule

This position offers a schedule of Monday to Friday, from 3 PM to 11:30 PM.

Role Responsibilities

The Sterile Processing Technician will be responsible for the following:

• Decontamination of various medical devices, including drills, Davinci systems, and scopes.
• Assembly of all instruments across multiple service lines, including trauma, loaners, and peel packaging.
• Executing sterilization processes using both Sterrad and steam methods.
• Handling high-level disinfection (HLD) and providing scope experience.
• Maintaining sterile storage procedures.
• Collaboration as an operating room liaison.
• Utilizing the Censitrac tracking system.
• Applying Medivator experience effectively within the department.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Experience in all areas of sterile processing, preferably in a busy, Level One trauma facility.
• Possession of CBSPD or CRCST certification, through HSPA (formerly known as IAHCSMM).
• A strong understanding of sterile processing protocols and workflows.

Participants will have access to various parking options available on a monthly or annual basis:

• WMC Permit: 24/7 access to the garage.
• WB Permit: Weekend and holiday access, including shuttle service.
• CXS Permit: Access during weekends and holidays, with available lots.

Refunds may be available for unused future months on annual permits under certain conditions.
