Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonographer

Position Overview

The Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonographer is responsible for performing detailed ultrasound imaging for high-risk patients, ensuring the accurate reporting of findings to physicians. This role involves assisting with specialized procedures and requires an understanding of various maternal and fetal conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct between 7-9 detailed ultrasounds daily, reporting findings to Maternal Fetal Medicine physicians.
• Perform fetal echocardiography as part of standard procedures.
• Assist with amniocentesis, amnio reduction, chorionic villus sampling (CVS), and percutaneous umbilical blood sampling (PUBS) procedures.

Work Schedule

This is a full-time position with a 5×8 day shift, specifically from 07:30 AM to 05:00 PM. There are no weekend or night shifts, and the role does not require availability for major holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Maternal Fetal Medicine sonography.
• Required certifications: BLS, ARDMS OB/GYN, and NT.
• Experience using Epic electronic health record system.
• Outpatient experience is required.

The role is open to clinicians nationwide and must start as soon as possible, with no delays in the start date allowed. Candidates should be prepared for potential floating within the scope of practice to meet facility needs.
