Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This position involves providing high-quality nursing care in a stepdown unit, with the potential to float to additional units as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver patient-centered care in the stepdown unit, ensuring optimal treatment and comfort.
• Monitor patient conditions and vital signs, responding to changes or emergencies as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families on health management and post-discharge care.
• Complete ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation.

Shifts:

This position requires rotating shifts consisting of 12-hour day and night shifts. Availability to work at least every other holiday is mandatory.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 12 months of permanent nursing experience in the applying specialty.
• Current and valid state nursing license in Ohio or a compact state.
• Certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS from AHA or the American Red Cross are required.
