CT Technologist

This position involves operating computed tomography (CT) equipment to produce cross-sectional images of patients’ bones, organs, and tissues for diagnostic purposes. The role encompasses a variety of imaging procedures, including general radiography and fluoroscopy.

Job Requirements

Education and Work Experience

• Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology: Preferred

Licenses/Certifications

• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists: R.T. (R)(CT)(ARRT) OR R.T. (R)(ARRT): Required
• Radiologic Tech (RT) license in the state of practice: Required in CA
• Advanced Certification in the modality of CT: Required in OR and HI, Preferred in CA
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor: Required
• Fluoroscopy license in state of employment: Required if operating fluoroscopy equipment
• Venipuncture certification: Required in CA if performing venipuncture to administer contrast materials

Essential Functions

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients ranging from adolescence to geriatric.
• Produce sagittal and coronal reformatted images for radiologist interpretation.
• Utilize PACS and teleradiology systems to transfer images appropriately.
• Maintain accurate records and billing information.
• Ensure the integrity of patient medical images and data, adhering to HIPAA and other confidentiality guidelines.
• Perform routine maintenance and calibration of equipment, managing supply inventory.
• Fulfill other job-related duties as assigned.
