Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment while demonstrating proficiency in medical-surgical and telemetry nursing.

Shift Details

• Night Shift: 3 x 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patient needs on a medical-surgical and telemetry unit.
• Administer medications and perform treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient-centered care plans.
• Educate patients and families regarding health conditions and care plans.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation utilizing electronic health records.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 months of permanent Medical-Surgical/Telemetry nursing experience required.
• Must possess a valid and active nursing license in Ohio or a compact state.
• AHA or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
• Recent Epic charting experience (within the last 6 months) is mandatory.
• A recent reference from a manager, Assistant Nurse Manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty of application is required.

Additional Requirements

• Must be able to work at least every other holiday.
• Participants will complete an ECG rhythm recognition test and medication assessments during orientation, achieving acceptable score levels on both.
