Registered Nurse – MedSurg / Telemetry

Position Overview

The Registered Nurse will be part of the MedSurg/Telemetry float pool, providing care across various medical-surgical areas as needed. This role requires strong clinical skills and the ability to adapt to diverse patient care environments.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centered nursing care in MedSurg and Telemetry units.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, responding to changes in vital signs.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
• Participate in patient education and discharge planning.
• Ensure compliance with nursing best practices and institutional policies.
• Float to various MedSurg areas as required by staffing needs.

Qualifications

• Current nursing license meeting state requirements.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in MedSurg/Telemetry nursing.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• Experience with electronic health records, specifically EPIC, is mandatory.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
