Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for a long-term care setting. The ideal candidate will join a team that provides comprehensive care to residents with various health needs.

Shift Details

• Shift Length: 12 hours
• Available Shifts: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM and 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend
• Holiday Coverage: Every other holiday

Position Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience
• Current BLS Certification required
• Case-by-case consideration for LPNs, preference given to RNs

Position Overview

The RN will be responsible for providing high-quality care to residents, including those with dementia and other geriatric conditions. Responsibilities include:

• Administering medications and treatments as prescribed
• Monitoring and assessing patient conditions
• Collaborating with fellow healthcare professionals to ensure optimal care
• Maintaining accurate medical records using the PCC electronic medical record system

Staffing Details

• Total Beds: 51
• Nurse Ratios: 2 nurses during the day and 1 overnight nurse
• Orientation: 2-hour session with the lead team followed by 1-2 shifts on the floor with existing staff

• Length of Assignment: 16 weeks
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 32
