CVICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced CVICU Registered Nurse to join our team for a 13-week assignment. This role includes night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM, with options for either three 12-hour shifts or four 12-hour shifts per week. The schedule requires availability for every other weekend.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU).
• Float to regular ICU, CV stepdown, and cardiac telemetry units as necessary.
• Manage potential COVID-19 patient cases while adhering to safety protocols.
• Utilize EPIC for clinical documentation; attend required training sessions based on prior EPIC experience.

Requirements

• Active Virginia or Compact Nursing License.
• A minimum of 2 years of CVICU experience.
• Current certifications in BLS and ACLS.
• Ability to work weekends on an every-other-weekend basis.

Additional Information

The Flu vaccine is mandatory during the flu season (October 1st – March 31st). Requests for medical or religious exemptions must comply with CMS guidelines and will be reviewed appropriately.
