Registered Nurse (RN) – CVICU

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with expertise in Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) to provide high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in cardiac care and a commitment to delivering exceptional healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced CVICU environment.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, implementing appropriate interventions.
• Administer medications and perform treatments as prescribed.
• Utilize advanced medical equipment including vents, PA lines, and balloon pumps.
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Float within equivalent or lower acuity units as required.
• Participate in patient education and family support practices.

Schedule

This position requires working 36 hours per week on rotating shifts, including nights and some weekends. The schedule will entail a combination of 12-hour shifts and may include floating within other units as necessary.

Patient Ratios

Estimated patient-to-nurse ratios are maintained at 1:1 to 1:2 to promote quality care.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Cardiac Intensive Care preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• Proficient in essential skills such as IV placement, telemetry, ventilation management, and conscious sedation.
• Experience with Swan-Ganz catheters and balloon pumps is required.
• Epic experience is necessary.
• Previous travel nursing experience is highly preferred.
