Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care in a challenging environment.

Contract Details

• Contract Duration: 48 hours
• Shift: Day shift (4×12 hours from 07:00 to 19:00)
• Ratios: 1:1 or 1:2 patient-to-nurse ratios
• Blocked schedules may be accommodated for those willing to work all weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate care to pediatric patients in the PICU.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Float to the Coronary Intensive Care Unit (CICU) or other areas as needed based on census demands.

Qualifications

• Must possess a minimum of 2 years of PICU experience with exposure to CICU.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS are required.
• Candidates must be fully vaccinated; no exceptions.
• Valid compact nursing license required.
• Previous employees are not eligible for contract roles for a duration of 1 year from their termination date.

Work Expectations

• Travelers should be prepared to work at least every other weekend and a minimum of 2 holidays.
• Requests for time off must be presented at the time of submission and can be a maximum of 5 days.
