Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking an experienced Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.

Position Details

• Shift: 3×12-hour shifts, Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
• Holiday Rotation: Yes
• Patient Ratios: 1:4
• Weekend Requirement: Yes, every other weekend
• On-call Requirement: No
• Floating Requirement: Yes, the nurse may be required to float within scope to meet facility needs.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in Stepdown or ICU settings.
• Licensure: Active SC license or a Compact license is required prior to start.
• Certifications Required: ACLS, BLS.
• Preferred Certification: NIHSS.
• Special Requirements: Must have prior ICU and/or Stepdown experience.

Additional Information

• Block Scheduling: Requests can be made but are not guaranteed.
• Local Candidates: Not accepted.
• Guaranteed Hours: The facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks.

Facilities Notes

Travelers should be aware of potential assignment to emergency response teams during hurricane season, which runs from June through November, with peak activity in August and September.

The facility uses Epic for charting and provides free parking for staff.
