Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) to join our team. This position involves providing specialized nursing care to adult women of childbearing age in a fast-paced environment.

Shift Details

• Shift: Nights – 3 shifts per week (12-hour shifts)
• Weekend requirements apply
• Holidays must be worked as scheduled

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one nursing care for patients in labor and delivery.
• Assist in triage, recovery, and monitoring of mother-baby pairs.
• Utilize EPIC charting for patient documentation.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure effective patient care.
• Adhere to protocols and best practices in a Magnet-designated facility.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in labor and delivery nursing.
• First-time travelers are accepted only if they meet the experience requirement.
• Current BLS and NRP certifications are required.
• AWHONN Intermediate certification is preferred.

Additional Information

• Floating within the hospital may be required, but not to sister facilities.
• Telehealth-capable system in place using EPIC.
• Monthly parking available at a standard rate.
• One week of scheduled time off allowed; additional restrictions may apply.

Work Environment

The unit is equipped with 7 labor beds, 3 triage rooms, 2 PACU, and 16 mother-baby rooms, fostering a collaborative and supportive atmosphere for both staff and patients.
