Registered Nurse – Medical / Surgical

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse with a focus on Medical/Surgical care. The ideal candidate will possess neuro experience and demonstrate proficiency in handling a variety of patient needs in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in medical and surgical units.
• Monitor patient conditions and assess needs for additional support or interventions.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and their families on health management and post-discharge care.
• Utilize electronic health record systems effectively for patient documentation and communication.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Must have NIHSS certification included in the application packet.
• Neuro experience is required.
• Strong medical/surgical nursing skills with at least 2 years of experience in the specialty.
• Experience in step-down care is preferred.
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic health records.
• Ability to work weekends with no block scheduling.
