Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – NICU/PICU

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist specialized in Neonatal and Pediatric Intensive Care Units (NICU/PICU) to provide high-quality care to patients in critical situations. This role requires a dedicated professional who is capable of working night shifts and is comfortable with the demands of a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver respiratory care and therapeutic procedures as per established protocols for NICU/PICU patients.
• Monitor and assess patient’s vital signs and respiratory status regularly.
• Administer medications, including oxygen therapy and other respiratory treatments.
• Educate patients and families about respiratory care procedures and equipment.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient care.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the specialty area of NICU/PICU.
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS are required.
• Ability to work EOW (every other weekend) and holidays.
• Willingness to work at least every other Sunday, if not more frequently.

Schedule

This is a night shift position, requiring 3 twelve-hour shifts per week from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.

Additional Information

Requests for time off must be submitted at the time of application, with a maximum of 5 days allowed. Please note that block scheduling is not available, except for weekend arrangements (Friday to Sunday).

Travelers located within 50 miles will be considered local and will receive local rate compensation. Candidates must include their permanent tax home address in their application.
