Registered Nurse (RN) – Stepdown Neuro

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Stepdown Neuro unit, providing critical care to patients recovering from neurological conditions. This role is designed for nurses with a solid background in progressive care or neuro-specific nursing, ready to make an impact during night shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Stepdown Neuro unit.
• Monitor patient conditions and respond to changing needs or emergencies.
• Administer medications and assist with procedures as required.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately.
• Participate in continuous education and professional development activities.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 12 months of permanent nursing experience in a related specialty.
• Experience in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) nursing is preferred but not mandatory.
• Must possess a valid Ohio nursing license or a compact state license.
• AHA or American Red Cross certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS are required.

Work Schedule:

This position involves night shifts, working from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, and requires flexibility to work at least every other holiday.

Additional Requirements:

• Completion of ECG rhythm recognition tests and safeMedicate assessments during orientation is required.
• An acceptable score on both assessments is mandatory to ensure patient safety and care quality.
