Acute Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Med/Surg
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Acute Travel Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical (Med/Surg) care. This role involves providing high-quality healthcare services to adult and geriatric patients in a dynamic clinical environment.
Position Information
- Role: RN
- Department: Medical Surgical Combination 4
- Number of Openings: 1
- Shift: Overnight (7 PM – 7:30 AM)
- Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
- Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend/as needed
Unit Profile
The Med/Surg unit has 12 beds with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 6:1. The electronic health record system utilized is Meditech.
Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate and evidence-based patient care to a diverse adult and geriatric population.
- Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care delivery.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, implementing care plans as necessary.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health records system.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient education.
Qualifications
- Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH
- Required Experience: Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in Med/Surg
- Required Education: Valid RN licensure in the state of practice
- Preferred Experience: 2+ years in Med/Surg setting
- Personality Fit: Professional demeanor and strong communication skills
Additional Information
- Dress Code: Any scrub color is acceptable; casual wear is not permitted.
- Float Requirements: May need to float to other Med/Surg units as required.
