Medical/Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical/Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse to provide exceptional patient care in various settings. This position involves the potential to float to different units, ensuring quality care for a similar patient population across the facility.

Shift Details

• Rotating Night & Day Shift: 7pm-7:30am / 7am-7:30pm
• Three 12-hour shifts per week.
• Shifts may be variable to meet the operational needs of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing assessments and care for patients in a telemetry setting.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Ensure effective communication and collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Monitor and interpret vital signs, ECG readings, and other diagnostic parameters.
• Participate in patient and family education regarding care and treatment plans.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
• Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures while delivering patient care.

Qualifications

• MUST have 12 months of permanent experience in Medical/Surgical Telemetry nursing.
• MUST possess a valid Ohio RN license or a compact state license in hand.
• AHA or American Red Cross certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS are required.
• Completion of ECG rhythm recognition test and SafeMedicate with acceptable scores during orientation.

Additional Requirements

• Travelers are required to work at least every other holiday.
• Must be willing to float to various units as necessary to meet patient care needs.
