PCU Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled PCU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team for night shifts. This position offers an opportunity to work in a stepdown unit with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Details

• Shift: Nights (6:00 PM – 6:30 AM)
• Shift Length: 12 hours
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Years of Experience: Minimum of 2 years
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: 2 winter holidays
• Floating Requirement: Possible within the assigned region

Qualifications

• Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Experience in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) is essential
• Ability to titrate drips, including Amiodarone, Diltiazem, Dopamine, Nitroglycerin, Lasix, and Dobutamine

Patient Care Responsibilities

The PCU RN will be responsible for assessing and managing patients with a variety of diagnoses, including but not limited to:

• Pneumonia
• ARDS
• Covid-19 infection
• Hypertension Urgency
• Angina
• Cardiac catheterization patients
• Alcohol Withdrawal

Nursing Support

• 1:3-4 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Nurse Aides available on the unit at a ratio of 1:10
• Remote monitor technicians will assist with monitoring
