Radiation Therapist

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Radiation Therapist to join our Radiation Oncology team. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment focused on delivering exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer radiation treatment to patients as per the prescribed treatment plan.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during treatment sessions.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the electronic medical record system.
• Collaborate with oncologists and healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
• Monitor and assess patient progress and response to treatment.
• Assist in maintaining equipment and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Radiation Therapist is required.
• First-timers are encouraged to apply and will be considered for this position.
• Current certifications in BLS and ARRT (Radiation Therapy) are necessary.
• Willingness to float between like units as needed.
• RTO (Requested Time Off) must be included at the time of submission.

Work Schedule

This is a Day shift position, working 5 days a week for 8 hours per day from 08:00 AM to 04:30 PM. Please note there is a possibility of call-offs once per two-week pay period.

Additional Information

• Free parking is available on the first day, with assigned parking provided during orientation.
• Scrub color for the Radiation department is black.
• Charting will be conducted using the Epic system.
