Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Summary

A healthcare organization is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join a dynamic Acute Care unit specializing in Medical-Surgical services. The ideal candidate will exhibit strong clinical skills and a commitment to providing excellent patient care.

Position Details

• Unit: Acute Care 6 (Medical Surgical)
• Unit Type: Med Surg
• Shift Length: 12 hours
• Guaranteed Hours: 48 hours per week
• Years of Experience Required: 1 year of nursing experience with at least 1 travel assignment

Qualifications

• Required Certifications:
  • BLS (AHA)
  • NIHSS
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience, preferably in acute care settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered nursing care in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain optimal nurse-to-patient ratios, typically 1:5, and occasionally 1:6.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
• Participate in ongoing training, including general and floor-specific orientations, as well as EMR training.
• Flexibility to float to different units as needed, including acute care and cardiac units.

Additional Information

• Nurse Aide Support: Nurse aides (CNA’s) available, typically at a ratio of 1:8, generally 1:10.
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend.
• Holiday Requirement: As needed.
• Scrub Color: Caribbean Blue.
• Telehealth: Available but monitored in a different unit.
