Registered Nurse (RN) – Stepdown Neuro

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Stepdown Neuro to join our team. This position requires a strong background in neuro care and a commitment to providing exceptional patient outcomes.

Shift Details

• Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Schedule: 3 x 12-hour shifts per week
• Must be available to work at least every other holiday

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 months of permanent experience in the specialty of Stepdown Neuro required
• PCU/Progressive Care experience is preferred but not mandatory
• Current Ohio or Compact State Nursing License required
• AHA or American Red Cross certifications for BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS are mandatory

Responsibilities

As a Registered Nurse in the Stepdown Neuro unit, your responsibilities will include:

• Providing high-quality nursing care to patients with neurological conditions
• Monitoring and assessing patient conditions and vital signs
• Administering medications and treatments as prescribed
• Collaborating with healthcare team members to optimize patient care
• Educating patients and their families about health conditions and post-discharge care

Upon hiring, you will complete an ECG rhythm recognition test and a safeMedicate assessment during orientation; passing scores on both assessments are essential for continued employment.
