Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) who will provide high-quality care to patients during labor and delivery. The ideal candidate should possess strong clinical skills and experience in a Labor and Delivery setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to expectant mothers, assisting during labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery.
• Monitor and assess fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs to ensure the well-being of both mother and child.
• Administer medications and perform necessary medical procedures as per protocols.
• Assist with labor management and support families during the birthing process.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Document patient assessments and care in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
• May be required to float to other units as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery.
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP.
• Proficient in IV start procedures.
• Experience with Epic EMR is required.
• Previous travel nursing experience is preferred.

Shift Information

This position requires a day shift schedule consisting of 3 twelve-hour shifts from 07:00 to 19:30.
