Registered Nurse (RN) – Med-Surg/Tele

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Med-Surg/Tele team. This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced nurses and first-time applicants. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care, particularly in orthopedic, general surgery, and med-surg environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adults and geriatric patients, managing a daily census of 40 patients.
• Implement and monitor treatment plans, including insulin drips and other medications.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Document patient information and care using the Cerner system.
• Participate in float duties as required across units and provide weekend coverage on an every-other-weekend basis.

Patient Population

The unit primarily admits adults ages 18 and older, focusing on orthopedic cases, general surgeries, and med-surg patient care.

Requirements

• Current nursing license and certifications: ACLS and BLS.
• One year of nursing experience preferred, but first-time applicants are welcome to apply.
• Familiarity with medication management systems such as Omnicell.
• Ability to work 5×8-hour mid shifts with flexibility.

Orientation

New hires will undergo a comprehensive orientation program consisting of 36 hours in total: 12 hours of computer training and 24 hours of 1:1 training with a preceptor.

Dress Code

Scrubs of any color are permitted while working in the unit.
